Art Knowledge: Lesson 6
Drawing the human head. The key to drawing heads in a more natural way
(rather than symbolic representations
of heads our first manner of expressing faces.)
1. The form of the natural head will require first drawing a basic 3 dimensional
oval structure that resembles the skull.
2. The features of the face are 3 dimensional and will need to be shown
with some sense of facial features that have structure.
3. Guidelines are very helpful in understanding where the features are
located. Our first habits of drawing faces position features too high
or in some way out of position.
