UPCOMING EVENTS:

Friday August 15th from 9 am-2 pm: Large group rummage at St. Anthony's parish hall.

Saturday August 16th from 8 am-12 pm: Citywide rummage sale at Rosholt, SD

Saturday and Sunday August 16th and 17th: Rosholt Threshing Bee activities, Sunday is the parade and craft show.

Father Krupich from St. Anthony's is holding bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm for the month of August. If you miss any evenings he will be doing this again during Lent.

Vacation bible school started this Tuesday at the Methodist Church.

SCHOOL NEWS

Fairmount School is looking for a bus driver. If you, or someone you know, would like the job, contact Bruce Schumacher at the school at 474-5469.

Darrell Moon has resigned his position on the school board. Gene Scheff will be filling the remainder of Darrell's position, until the election next June.

FAIRMOUNT RESIDENT NEWS

Kenzie Church went to the Hershey, PA track meet and placed 3rd in the soft ball throw. We give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Kenzie for this achievement.

We welcome Chris Lehman and Stacey to Fairmount. They are renting the remodeled house on 3rd street N.

Logan Sittarich was recently in a very serious car accident. We keep him and his family in our prayers.

RECIPE

CUCUMBER, POTATO AND DILL SALAD

3/4 pound boiling potatoes
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 large cucumber, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Peel potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch cubes. Cook potatoes until tender in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, about 5 minutes. Drain potatoes and rinse under cold water in colander. Drain potatoes well. Stir together yogurt, dill, coriander, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Combine with potatoes, cucumber, and season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.

Serves 2. Each serving about 121 calories and 2 grams fat (14% of calories from fat)
