Friday, November 7 – No School Please note a change in the calendar for this year. In the past, the State Department of Education allowed schools to count two half days as one whole day of school. This allowed us to dismiss early before Christmas and at the end of the year. However, DPI has now concluded that two half days do not make one whole day. Therefore, school will continue to the end of the day on December 19 and will be dismissed for the year on May 25. The Junior class is selling magazines for a school fundraiser. Any one interested in ordering a new magazine or renewing a magazine please contact the school office. Fairmount elementary students will be selling Rocky Mountain Sweets & treats as a fundraiser for the Artist – in – Residence Program. The goal is to raise enough money for the art fund to hire the Missoula Children’s Theatre for a residency in Fairmount. Plans are to have a weeklong residency this summer that will star 50-60 local students in a professionally produced and directed musical. Two actor/directors will arrive with everything to produce the play. They audition, cast, and rehearse the show, and the week finishes with 2 public performances.
